The Franc Arman winery extends over 8 hectares in Narduci in western Istria, where ideal soil and climate conditions prevail. This basis is reflected in the wines, because for Franc Arman and his son Oliver, quality begins in the vineyard. With over 100 years of family tradition and expertise, they select only the best grapes, which are carefully harvested by hand. This gives their wines their exceptional aroma and bouquet.
In the winery's five-meter-deep wine cellar, young, fresh and characterful wines are produced in stainless steel barrels, while the stronger, more complex wines mature in large wooden and barrique barrels. This method of production ensures that their wines are not only unique, but also of the highest quality and will delight even the most demanding connoisseurs.
The Merlot Superiore is matured partly in large oak barrels and partly in barriques. It has a characteristic dark red color and an intense, aromatic scent. Its taste is complex and powerful, with fruity notes of dark berries, complemented by wood and spice nuances. The soft tannins and the elegant finish give it particular finesse.
Served at a temperature of 18°C, Merlot Superior is an ideal accompaniment to meat and game dishes, mature cheese and prosciutto. With its full-bodied character, it is ideal for connoisseurs and special occasions.
