Terran Kappi is made from the Terrano grapes, which come from the region. It is one of the company's flagship wines. Made from grapes harvested when fully ripe and partially dried in the field, it is fermented with native yeasts and macerated for about 6 months after fermentation. The maturation takes place in barrels of different sizes for about 2-3 years, then it was carefully collected according to organoleptic evaluations that represent the company values. It has an intense red color, sometimes dark, because of the prolonged oxygen supply in the decanter. The aromas remain persistent and range from ripe fruits and jam (wild berries, black cherry), flowers (red rose, violet) to spices (liquorice, vanilla, coffee, cloves, peppers, cocoa, tobacco ). Winemaking and aging process: Maceration 120/150 days, aging in oak and clay barrels The taste is overwhelmingly invasive but elegant, persistent and incisive. It has lively tannins but is pleasantly wrapped in a soft and velvety body, destined for aging and even lasting over time. It is a wine suitable for great classic cuisine, both of the Anglo-French school (Wellington beef) and traditional Istrian (Boscarin fillet with sauce dressing); also recommended with game, truffle risotto, wild boar, roast or wet.
