The Rioja Vina LANCIANO Reserva from an incomparable vineyard offers a balanced blend of the fruity characteristics of the Viña Lanciano.
Very bright, ripe cherry red with a reddish edge. Aromas of ripe red fruits with floral hints of violets, mixed with oak notes such as spices, cinnamon and a hint of minerality. Expressive and intense, very fruity and balsamic on the finish, with a persistent, long-lasting finish.
Known as "El Sastre" and "El Marqués" in Viña Lanciano. The bush vines, traditionally grown, are between 35 and 45 years old and are harvested by hand. The grapes are harvested by hand and fermentation takes place in conical stainless steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation takes place in Tronçais-Franch oak barrels. The wine ages for 12 months in Tronçais oak barrels and a further 8 months in Russian oak barrels from the Caucasus. It then ages for 18 months in the bottle.
Goes well with stews, spicy meat and fish dishes, meat carpaccio, smoked dishes and mature cheeses."
