Fuži Istarska 500g - Klara Maric

Fuži are Istria's most famous pasta, formed from dough diamonds that are traditionally served with dishes such as chicken goulash (Žgvacet). The family production produces around two million pieces of fuži every day.

The Klara Maric company, which has its headquarters in Kanfanar in Istria, produces homemade pasta. The products are made according to old, traditional recipes with the help of modern production technologies. With eggs, water, salt and flour and a few additional ingredients that serve to complete the diverse range of pasta available to the customer, it is a top gourmet product with specific traditional values.

All this makes Klara Marić pasta one of the best-selling pastas in Croatia and a top export product. Our pasta is very special because it is very similar to handmade pasta, as it runs over rollers.

Klara M pasta is not pressed into molds, as pressing causes the pasta dough to lose quality. Rolling makes the pasta permeable, while at the same time allowing it to retain its nutritional value. After rolling, it is heated to high temperatures, which increases the quality and guarantees the durability of the dough.

The drying process takes between 24 and 48 hours, depending on the type of pasta, and this long drying phase slowly removes the moisture, which also helps to improve the quality, compared to industrially produced pasta, where the drying process only takes 3-4 hours.
