Malvazija (Malvasia) from Istria is an old white wine variety, probably of Greek origin. It is also known by various names such as Malvazija Istarska, Malvasia Bianca and Malvasia del Carso. This grape variety belongs to the Malvasia family, which is widespread in Italy, Croatia and Portugal. It is particularly widely grown in the region of Istria (Croatia) and in parts of Veneto and Friuli-Venezia Giulia.

The late-ripening grape variety is moderately vigorous, susceptible to mildew, but high-yielding. Its must produces high-alcohol white wines with fine aromas.
