Valter Valenta and his sons

Kaldir, a small village near Motovun, is home to three wineries located close to each other, including the Valenta winery. The Valenta family had been making wine as a hobby for generations until Valter Valenta decided to pursue it professionally in 2017, together with his sons Stiven and Ivica. Valter previously gained experience in sales at Vina Laguna, while his sons pursue other careers.

The Valenta winery now cultivates 15 hectares near Motovun and offers five wine labels, including the regional varieties Malvasia Istriana, Teran, Sauvignon Blanc and Muscat. A boutique wine cellar is soon to be built.
