The Rioja D-12 LAN, named after LAN's symbolic barrel No. 12, is a hedonistic wine made with care and expertise to delight discerning connoisseurs.
It comes from grapes from three special vineyards, aged between 32 and 46 years: Viñaspre ("Corralejos"), Briones ("La Mina") and San Vicente de la Sonsierra ("El Bombón"). Hand-harvested and fermented in stainless steel tanks, it was aged for 14 months in new American (70%) and French (30%) oak barrels and then for 10 months in the bottle.
With an intense garnet red color, it shows aromas of ripe red fruits, creamy notes, toffee, vanilla, cinnamon and cocoa. On the palate it impresses with fruity and roasted nuances, soft tannins and a long-lasting finish of red fruits and liquorice.
Ideal with smoked and grilled meat, spicy dishes and mature cheese.
